Quartzite is a natural stone. Quartzite is a hard, non-foliated metamorphic rock which was originally pure quartz sandstone. Sandstone is converted into quartzite through heating and pressure usually related to tectonic compression within orogenic belts. Pure quartzite is usually white to grey, though quartzites often occur in various shades of pink and red due to varying amounts of hematite. Other colors, such as yellow, green, blue and orange, are due to other minerals.

Quartzite is a very strong and durable stone, which is resistant to most chemicals, and can withstand most temperatures and is also scratch resistant. Which makes it a perfect product for many applications, such as kitchen countertops for residential homes, or reception countertops where large amount of visitors come daily and tend to put their car keys or other belongings, such as hotels. Quartzite is also a very good choice for bath.

Quartzite Care

While quartzite is one of the most durable products, it still is not 100% "bulletproof" and should not be abused. In addition it is recommended to seal it annually to keep the sureface from staining over time. The sealer will also help the slab or countertop installed upkeep a rich look and can be comparable to detailing a car.
